The adult moths of this species have dark brown forewings. The hindwings are yellow shading to brown at the costa. The head and thorax are dark brown, and the abdomen is yellow with a dark brown tip. For the females, the hindwing has a larger yellow area. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

The species occurs in

  • New Guinea,

    and in Australia in

  • Queensland.
