The adult moths of this species have brown forewings, each with an off-white band along the margin. The hindwings are pale brown. The head and abdomen are covered in brown hair, but the thorax is covered in rusty brown hair, The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species occurs in Australia in:

  • Western Australia,
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
