The moths have patchy grey-brown forewings, each with a variable number of partial jagged dark lines, often including an angled line across the middle of the wing. The hindwings are plain paler brown. The male moths have a wingspan of about 2.5 cms. The female moths have a wingspan of about 3 cms.
