Harold Maxwell-Lefroy was a professor of entomology at Imperial College London, and was later made the first Imperial Entomologist to India. He made drawings of his own specimens in his landmark book:
Indian Insect Life: A Manual of the Insects of the Plains, 1909,
Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa,
Calcutta and Simla, Thackecker Spink & Co., 2 Creed Lane, London.
