The adult moths of this species have speckled grey forewings, each with a variety of incoherent dark markings, and chequered fringes. The hindwings are off-white, each with dark marks including a dark band along the wavy margin. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
