The adult moths are brown with a purple sheen, each wing having a subterminal arc of very dark spots. The forewings each have a hooked wingtip. The hindwings are a paler brown than the forewings. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
