This family has been little studied in Australia. The Caterpillars that are known are leafminers. Many have been found on plants from the family MYRTACEAE. The adult moths are small, with a wingspan up to 1 cm. Some have metallic coloration. Of the estimated 280 or so species known of this family in Australia, some notable species are:
