The adult moth of this species has grey-brown forewings with a diagonal pattern. The hindwings are pale fawn, darkening to the wingtips. The moth has a wingspan of about 2 cms. The sexes are similar. The moths are noted for often resting pointing head downwards.

This species is found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
