Adult Planthoppers are not moths or butterflies, but are in a totally different insect order: HEMIPTERA.

The wings of this species are translucent brown with scattered dark spots and dots. They have a long proboscis, about half the length of a forewing. The insects have a wingspan of about 2 cms.
