This caterpillar feeds on dead leaves.

The adult moth has forewings that are pale brown, each with two dark brown spots and a yellow margin. The hindwings are dark brown with yellow tips.

The species is found over much of southern Australia, including

  • New South Wales,
  • South Australia,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Victoria.
