These caterpillars feed on dead leaves of

  • Gum Trees ( MYRTACEAE ).

    They join the leaves together with silk, feeding on the leaves when they have fallen on the ground.

    This adult moth has brown forewings, each with two white-edged black marks. The hindwings are brown fading to white at the bases. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

    The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
