The adult moth of this species has forewings that are dark brown with complex blue and grey markings. The hindwings are white with brown veins. The blue fades to pale brown in old specimens. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

The species occurs in Australia in:

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.
