This caterpillar is brown with a number of dark lines along the body. It lives in a loose silken web on a leaf of its foodplant.
The adult moths of this species have forewings that have bands of orange, white and dark brown. The hindwings are pale grey with reddish edges. Underneath: the wings are dark brown. The moths have a wingspan of about 2 cms.
