The Caterpillars of this species feed on

  • Scale Insects (Eriococcus coreoceus) which feed on Gum Trees ( Eucayptus species)

    The caterpillars live in a loose silk shelter among the Scale Insects.

    The moth has grey forewings each with a speckled dark streak along costa, a dark comma shape near the middle, and a broad dark band along the margin. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

    The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
