The moth has forewings each with a pattern of ragged bands of various shades of brown, with a white one across the middle. The hindwings are white with brown veins. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New Zealand

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
