These caterpillars have been found on:

  • Cape Laceflower ( Archidendron hirsutumm, FABACEAE ), and
  • Ventilago ecorollata ( RHAMNACEAE ).

    The caterpillars are green with a pale line along each side. They are covered in short hairs which each carry a droplet of sticky liquid.

    The adult butterflies are white with a broad black margin to each wing.

    The species occurs in the rain forests of New Guinea and Cape York, Australia. Specimens can be purchased that are bred for the purpose in Papua New Guinea.
