Some taxonomists place this family as the subfamily PLUTELLINAE in YPONOMEUTIDAE, and sometimes this family is included in GLYPHIPTERIGIDAE, but here, following Nielsen et al, we list it as a separate family. Also some taxonomists place the genus Tritymba in BUCCULATRICIDAE, but again here, following Nielsen et al, we list it in PLUTELLIDAE.
