The adult moths of this species has brown forewings each with a pale area at the base. The hindwings are pale brown. The head is off-white, and the thorax is black. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
