The adult of this species is speckled grey, with vague markings including a paler grey oblique band on each forewing. The moth has a wingspan of about 2 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New Zealand,

    as well as in Australia in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
