The forewings of the adult male moth of this species are dark brown, each crossed by several ragged off-white bands. The hindwings are dark brown. The head is yellow. There is a dorsal crest of black scales on the thorax. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales.
