The adult male moth of this species has white forewings, each crossed by five black bars, although the post-medial bar is vestigial and confined to the costa. The hindwings are off-white. The head is covered in long orange scales. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
