The adult moth of this species has forewings that are brown with a black marginal half, and with variable pale transverse stripes. The hindwings are brown shading to black at the margins. The abdomen is brown, sometimes with a dorsal pair of white dots. The moth has a wingspan of about 1.3 cms.

The species has been found across Asia, including:

  • Sri Lanka,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Northern Territory.
