This Caterpillar is pale green to brown, and hairy. It feeds on the buds and flowers of Averrhoa species, including:

  • Starfruit ( Averrhoa carambola , OXALIDACEAE ), and
  • Cucumber Tree ( Averrhoa bilimbi, OXALIDACEAE ).

    The adult moth is white with brown markings and a black spot near the middle of each forewing.

    The species occurs in south-east Asia, including

  • Hong Kong,
  • India,
  • Japan,
  • Papua,
  • Thailand, and
  • Vietnam,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.
