The adult moth has yellow or white forewings, each crossed by three variable broken black bars with another black band along the margin, and a black spot near the middle. The hindwings are yellow, each with a black margin, a black submarginal band, and a black mark near the middle. The moth has a wingspan of about 4 cms.
