The adult moths of this species have red forewings each with variable grey and off-white patches, and an arc of diminishing black-edged white spots by the margin. The hindwings are off-white with red veins and edges. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

This species has been found in

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.

    Some taxonomists put this species in ODONTIINAE.
