This caterpillar is green with a brown head. It has been found in a shelter made by rolling a leaftip of its foodplant:

  • Paddy's Lucerne ( Sida rhombifolia, MALVACEAE ).

    The moth has white and yellow patterned wings with one black dot near the centre and two on the costa of each forewing. It has a wingspan of about 2 cms.

    Specimens of this species have been caught in :

  • Victoria,
  • New South Wales and
  • Queensland.
    It also appears to occur (listed as Lygropia quaternalis) in
  • Hong Kong, and
  • Thailand
