The caterpillars of this species are a pest on:

  • Jackfruit ( Artocarpus heterophyllus, MORACEAE ).

    The caterpillars bore into young shoots and into the fruit.

    The adult moth is pale brown with a number of dark brown spots, and orange stripes outlined in dark brown, on each wing .

    It is found in south-east Asia, including:

  • Bangladesh,
  • Fiji,
  • Hong Kong,
  • India,
  • Thailand,

    and in Australia in :

  • Queensland.
