The adult moth of this species is white, with two ragged brown arcs across each wing. The costa of each forewing is also brown.

The species occurs over much of the world, including:

  • France,
  • India,
  • Italy,
  • Japan,
  • La Reunion,
  • Madeira,
  • Poland,
  • United Kingdom

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland.
