The adult is white, with a striking brown pattern.

The species occurs around the west Pacific, including :

  • Hong Kong, and
  • New Caledonia.
    In Australia: the species appears to be rare, and our specimens were all taken in
  • Queensland,
    north of Cairns, at a range of elevations 10-1000 metres above sea level, between Cape Tribulation and the McIlwraith Range NE of Coen.
