A cocoon of this species was found on the underside of a leaf of

  • Boongura (Banksia grandis, PROTEACEAE)

One might infer that this is a foodplant of the caterpillar. The cocoon was unusual as it had a series of bubbles in its structure. The cocoon had a length of about 1 cm. The pupa had a length of about 0.5 cm.

The adult moths of this species are white, with an orange streak along each forewing having a dark dot on it about 2/3rds the way along it, and several more at the wingtip. The hindwings are white, each shading to pale brown along the costa. The antennae are a little shorter than the length of the forewings. The wingspan is about 1.6 cms.
