The adult moths of this species have speckled grey forewings, each with dark markings, often including two irregular patches near the middle of the wing, an arc of dark spots along the margin, and a submarginal arc of long dark streaks. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been caught in :

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
