The Caterpillars of this species feed on the leaves of:

  • various Fig trees ( Ficus, MORACEAE ).

    The adult moths are very pretty. The forewings are brown and orange, with white patches outlined in black. The hindwings are transparent with a brown and iridescent blue margin. The blue colour fades in dead specimens. The moths have a wingspan of about 5 cms.

    The species is found in Asia, including

  • Thailand,
  • New Guinea,

    and in Australia in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
