These Caterpillars have been found feeding on a variety of plants including

  • Sweeet Potato ( Ipomoea batatas, CONVOLVULACEAE ), and
  • White Hoarypea ( Tephrosia candida, FABACEAE ).

    The adult moth of this species is pale brown, often with three brown zigzag transverse lines on each forewing, and two on each hindwing. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

    The species is found from Africa to the Pacific, including

  • China,
  • Sierra Leone,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland.
