The adult moths have wings that are are pale brown with white and purple patches outlined in dark brown. The moths have a wingspan of about 3 cms.

The species is found in south east Asia, including:

  • India,
  • Japan,
  • Taiwan, and
  • Thailand,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.
