The adult moths of this species are black with an extensive pattern of overlapping yellow spots. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species occurs around much of the old-world tropics, including

  • Chagos Archipelago,
  • Japan,
  • Natal,
  • Reunion,
  • Seychelles, and
  • United Arab Emirates,

    as well as in Australia in:

  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.
