The adult is white, with a striking brown pattern.

The species occurs around the west Pacific, including :

  • Hong Kong,
  • New Caledonia,

    and also in Australia in

  • Queensland.

    The species appears to be rare, and our specimens were all taken north of Cairns, at a range of elevations 10-1000 metres above sea level, between Cape Tribulation and the McIlwraith Range NE of Coen, Queensland.
