The adult moths have pale brown forewings each with dark markings including a prominent dark spot at the middle of the hind margin and a dark line along the costa. The hindwings are plain off-white. Each wing has an extensive hairy fringe to the hind margin. The wingspan is about 1.2 cm.

The species has been found in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Western Australia.
