These adult moths sometimes have brown forewings with black areas around the margins. Some have dark brown forewings with a yellow costa The hindwings are black with brown bases. The thorax is brown, and the abdomen is black. The antennae have filamentous tips. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species is found in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
