The adult moth of this species has speckled fawn forewings which shade darker toward the wing-tips. The hindwings are similar but paler. The moth has a variable wingspan of about 1 cm.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Tasmania,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
