The adult moth of this species has forewings that are dark brown, each with several pale irregular transverse bands. The hindwings are plain pale brown. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
