The adult moths of this species have brown forewings, each with a pattern of dark grey and dark brown. The hindwings are dark fawn. The wingspan is about 1.7 cms.

This species has been found in

  • New Zealand,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
