The Caterpillars of this species feed on dead leaves of Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus ).

The adults have brown forewings each with several dark-edged pale bands, some broken. The hindwings are a mottled brown. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

This species has been found in

  • Tasmania.

    The species has been placed in the DEBILIANA GROUP, which has as its type species Sciaphila debiliana.
