The Caterpillars of other species in this genus live in a shelter consisting of dead foodplant leaves joined with silk and frass, and have been found feeding in the ground litter on the dead leaves of:
The adult moths of this species have white forewings each crossed by two ragged broad black bands. there is also a broad black band across the thorax. The hindwings are pale brown. The wingspan is about 2 cms.
