The Caterpillars of this species probably feed on dead leaves still on their twigs of various species of Gum Trees (MYRTACEAE).

The adult moths have pale yellow forewings, each with a black line along most of the costa, a scimitar-shaped purplish black submarginal arc, and a purplish black band along the margin. The hindwings are pale brown. The head, labial palps, and pro-thorax are pale yellow. The meso-thorax is black. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • South Australia.
