The adult moth of this species has golden forewings each of which have stripes of white and red along the costa, and pink around the margin. The hindwings are pale brown. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
