Placocosma resumptella

The adult moth has a white head, and dark brown forewings, each with a white markings, includig a broad white area at the base, and a white patch on the costa. At rest the brown scales on the thorax are erected like a crest, and the tornus of each forewing are held together curving upward. The wingspan is up to 2 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Western Australia.
