The adult moths of this species are buff coloured, with two irregular dark brown bands: one along the margin of, and one across each forewing. Between the bands are a number of round motifs. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The eggs are spherical and a translucent white. They are laid in a regular hexagonal array.

The species occurs across south-east Asia, including

  • Hong Kong,
  • India,
  • Japan,
  • Laos,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
