The adult moth of this species has streaky brown and grey forewings each with variable dark markings including a dark crescent around a pale spot. The hindwings are pale brown. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
