The adult moth of this species has dark brown patterned forewings each with a small white crescent near the middle. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
