The adult moth of this species has forewings boldly patterned in white, fawn, grey, and black, each with a white and yellow crescent near the middle. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
